A teenager has tragically died at an indoor go-kart track in Staffordshire after being found unresponsive and in cardiac arrest.
The incident occurred at TeamSport Go Karting Stoke in Burslem on Friday evening, around 20:15 GMT. Emergency crews were swiftly called to the scene, but despite their efforts, the teenager, who was in his late teens, was pronounced dead at the venue.
Staffordshire Police have confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious. The coroner has been notified, and an investigation will follow to determine the cause of death.
A spokesperson from TeamSport Go Karting expressed their sorrow over the incident, stating that the staff were “deeply saddened” and that their thoughts were with the teenager’s family and friends during this difficult time.
