Sir Keir Starmer MP will appear before the House of Commons Liaison Committee at 2.30pm on 15 December 2025.
The session will last 90 minutes, running from 14.30 to 16.00.
The committee, chaired by Dame Meg Hillier MP, brings together all Chairs of select committees across Parliament. During each session, a selection of committee Chairs questions the Prime Minister on a wide range of issues. Officials said arrangements for the December hearing will be confirmed in due course.
The Liaison Committee is the only parliamentary committee with the authority to question the Prime Minister directly, making its sessions an important moment of scrutiny.
Traditionally, the Prime Minister appears before the committee three times a year, though the timing can vary depending on political circumstances.
These hearings often cover domestic policy, foreign affairs, security matters, and the government’s overall performance. Select committee Chairs use the opportunity to raise issues that have emerged from their own committee’s inquiries, ensuring broad and cross-departmental accountability.
Sir Keir Starmer’s upcoming appearance will be his latest formal scrutiny session since taking office, and is expected to attract close attention given ongoing debates around government priorities, budget decisions, and legislative commitments.
