Sam Gardiner, known for his appearance on the BBC’s Race Across the World, has tragically died at the age of 24 following a serious car crash near Manchester.
The incident occurred on the A34 on Monday night when the vehicle he was driving veered off the road and rolled onto its side. Gardiner, who was alone in the car, was taken to hospital with critical injuries and sadly passed away on Thursday.
Gardiner rose to public attention in 2020 when he competed in the second series of Race Across the World, journeying across South America alongside his mother, Jo.
