A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the fatal stabbing of a man at a flat in Haydock, Merseyside.
The incident occurred shortly before 10.30pm on Friday 2 May inside a residential building on Sherlock Avenue.
Emergency services, including Merseyside Police and the North West Ambulance Service, attended the scene after receiving a report of a stabbing.
A man in his 30s was found with serious knife injuries and, despite efforts from paramedics, he later died from his wounds.
A 39-year-old woman from Billinge has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody as detectives continue their investigation.
