A 62-year-old man has died following a serious crash on the A90 near Laurencekirk, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 10:20 on Wednesday after a collision involving a van and a lorry.
The male passenger of the van was pronounced dead at the scene. The 43-year-old driver of the van was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance, while the 52-year-old lorry driver was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for medical treatment.
The crash led to a full closure of the A90 for about 12 hours while police conducted investigations.
Authorities are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward to assist with the inquiry.
Multiple emergency units, including two ambulances, three special operations response teams, a trauma team, and the air ambulance, attended the incident.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash remains ongoing.
